Here are my Green Tips for the whole month of May 2009 . . .
WEEK 1:
Whenever, you are traveling abroad or within a country, try your best to lessen your air travel as much as possible because air travel highly contributes in building up greenhouse gases at the atmosphere and also it is significantly higher than that of the other vehicles.
WEEK 2:
Always invest on eco-friendly architectural designs. Eco-friendly architectural designs are describe as green and energy-saving. Green because it has an area for plants. Maximizing green area in our lots would be better. In tall buildings, it would be nice if it has rooftop gardens. For vast land areas, capitalize on beautiful fruit and ornamental trees. Energy-saving because it maximizes the use of natural light and ventilation. The lesser electrical appliances that we use, the lesser the need for producing much electrical energy, which in most cases are powered or generated by burning coals or petroleum thus, we could lessen our carbon emission. Let us all keep and improve the proper balance of greens and pollutants in our environment.
WEEK 3:
Replace all of your lights at home with CFL bulbs or Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs. These light bulbs consume less energy. It is a long term investment since it is a bit more expensive than ordinary bulbs but in a long run you can save more since it consumes less energy. Less consumption of energy means becoming more eco-friendly and so let us all invest on these eco-friendly bulbs
WEEK 4:
Walk if your destination is just few blocks away. The lesser we use smoke emitting vehicles, the better it is for the environment.
So keep this tips in your mind to make our world a better place.
